   FLARE

   New panels were set into the legs, opening the silhouette into a wide flare. Each panel was corroded by hand, so the added denim carries the same pale, worn surface as the original and nothing reads as new.

   

   

   
2. 02

   SKIN

   A leather-effect coating was sprayed by hand from the hem upward, dense and glossy at the bottom, thinning to nothing around the thighs. The denim disappears under a second skin that creases and catches the light like leather, while the top of the jeans stays bare.
