LUX FUIT

The development of Lux Fuit, like that of every other collection of mine, was born from an emotion: in this case, a mix of strongly contrasting emotions.

Within me lived a deep longing for redemption and vindication, the need for a rebirth that could lead me into a new life and allow me to envision new horizons and opportunities; yet at the same time, I was fighting a powerful impulsiveness and restlessness that pushed me toward excess, the urge to surpass my limits and live as if it was my last day on earth.

From this came the idea of a double narrative sequence, imagined and later shaped by Federico, perfectly intertwined with the artistic references that inspired the development of this collection: on one side an elite, refined, luxurious world, yet unreachable; on the other, an urban and paramilitary world, raw and unfiltered, drawing you in with a fascination that only the grotesque can evoke.

With these contexts in mind, the narrative thread emerged naturally, through an ongoing back-and-forth between Federico and me, to which Filippo later joined in, which over time sharpened and refined every detail of this project, in pursuit of a perfection we knew was unobtainable, yet still chose to chase.

The Party tells of excess, the erosive cycle of the night.

The Fall tells of perdition, the labyrinth we wander while running from ourselves.

The Rebirth tells of redemption, the moment when awareness is finally embraced.

“Fiat Lux! Et Lux Fuit.”

“Let there be Light! And Light There Was.”
