PROCESS.

Military trousers made to disappear into a landscape. We cut them, opened them and made them visible.

    CUT

Description: The original trousers were cut down to bermuda length. The cut was left raw: no hem, no finishing, the fabric free to fray and move on its own.

    FLARE

New panels were added at the leg, opening the silhouette outward. Their surface was textured by laser, so the added fabric doesn’t look new next to the old.

    DIRT

Abrasion and dirt were worked in by hand, one area at a time. The marks follow where a garment like this would naturally wear, with nothing printed or faked on top.

    LIGHT

A graphic was burned into the back by laser. The light removes colour from the fibre instead of adding ink, so the print becomes part of the fabric itself.
